He played on North Carolina State University's football team during his college years.
He disappeared during a boating incident off the Gulf Coast of Florida and was presumed dead.
He was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, and his family created a scholarship fund in his name following his tragic accident.
He played alongside Warren Sapp on the defensive line for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
