ABOUT D.J. STEWARD

Former five-star prospect turned pro that primarily plays the position of point guard and shooting guard. After one season at Duke University , he joined the Stockton Kings of the NBA G League in the year 2021. He then began playing basketball professionally in the Canadian Elite Basketball League as a member of the Vancouver Bandits in the year 2023.

He initial began his high school basketball career as a freshman at Fenwick High School before eventually transferring to Whitney Young High School. As a senior, he was named a McDonald's All-American.

He played basketball at Duke University during legendary college basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski 's 40th season with the program. The very next year, Coach K (as he's come to be called) retired in 2022.

He grew up living with his family in the Chicago, Illinois area. His father Danny Boy is a former member of Death Row records, which featured other artists such as Snoop Dogg , Dr. Dre , and Tupac Shakur .

He was college teammates with Jalen Johnson .
