ABOUT DAN LAYUS
Singer, guitarist, and pianist best recognized as the sole surviving member of the California-born band Augustana. The group rocketed to fame following the release of their debut album All the Stars and Boulevards which peaked at #1 on both the US Heat and US Indie charts.
The beginnings of Augustana started when he gathered his friends together in 2002 to begin writing music. The band's first album, Midwest Skies and Sleepless Mondays, was created at home with only 1000 copies.
In 2016, he began touring with the Dixie Chicks on their DCX MMXVI World Tour.
He and his wife Nina have two daughters.
In 2007, Augustana opened for Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional.
