ABOUT DANA GOURRIER

Actress known for her roles as Cora in the 2012 film Django Unchained and as Minnie Mink in the 2015 film The Hateful Eight . She has appeared in television series including GLOW , Superstore , True Detective (season 1) and Treme .

She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance Art from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She has a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts).

She also appeared in the 2013 film The Butler and the 2021 film The United States Vs. Billie Holiday .

She was born and raised in New Orleans. Her family's home was destroyed during Hurricane Katrina. She and her father are both singers, songwriters and play the piano.

She has worked with directors including Quentin Tarantino and Lee Daniels .
