ABOUT DANIEL ETIM EFFIONG
Movie actor who became known for working within the Nollywood film world. He made a name for himself starring in the 2019 comedy Plan B alongside Kenyan actress Sarah Hassan . He starred in the film Summer Rain in 2025 which was number one in the box offices in the first week of February that same year. He has over 750,000 followers on his etimeffiong Instagram account where he shares information on his acting career.
He received a degree in chemical engineering from the Federal University of Technology. He decided to pursue his passion for film and attended AFDA Film School in South Africa in order to become a director.
His first job in entertainment was as a content producer for NdaniTV. He directed his first major short film Prey in 2017 starring Tope Tedala. His 2020 documentary Skin was set to air on Netflix.
His father, Lt. Col. Moses Effiong, had been imprisoned, but was freed years later through presidential pardon. He shares two daughters and a son with his partner Lady Toyosi Etim-Effiong.
He and Lydia Forson have both won acting awards through the Africa International Film Festival.
