Daniel Weinand

ABOUT DANIEL WEINAND

Self-taught designer and photographer who is best known for being the co-founder of several different companies including NuBlu, Blue Pacific Studios, and Shopify. He is also the founder of an enterprise known as No Cartridge Inc.

He studied computer science and music at the University of Dortmund.

He is a recipient of OBJ's Forty under 40 award and has been named in INC. magazine's 30 under 30 list. He also writes music and plays poker. In an interview he gave, he commented, "With Every Failure I Experienced, There Was an Opportunity to Come Out Even Stronger."

He and his wife Joelle Weinand have a son named Jack.

He co-founded Shopify alongside entrepreneur Tobias Lütke .
