Defensive midfielder who has been a standout player for such clubs as CR Vasco da Gama, SC Braga and SL Benfica. He has represented Brazil at international tournaments like the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
He played for EC Vitória before joining Vasco da Gama's youth academy in 2011.
He was awarded the Silver Ball for his performance at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
His parents are José Cândido da Silva and Clarice de Amorim Barbosa.
He has played with Joao Carlos Teixeira on FC Porto.
