ABOUT DANNY JOE BROWN
Late rock singer best remembered as a founding member of the southern rock band Molly Hatchet, who released hits like 1980's "Flirtin' With Disaster." In 1981, he founded his own group, The Danny Joe Brown Band.
He graduated from Terry Parker High School in Jacksonville, Florida in 1969.
He spent two years in New York after as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard.
He was survived by his wife, Crystal, and his children, named Danny Jr., Ashley, Rebecca, Matthew and Jacob.
With Molly Hatchet, he covered The Allman Brothers' "Dreams I'll Never See," co-written by Gregg Allman .
