ABOUT DARREN BARKER
Professional boxer who competed from 2004 until 2013. He is best known for his competitions in the middleweight class.
Beginning with training at Finchley and District Amateur Boxing club at a young age, he transferred over to Repton Boys Club in Bethnal Green where he began competing. It was there he won the ABA Championships in 1981. His first professional fight was in September of 2004.
He has won multiple titles while competing in the middleweight division including the IBF title in 2013, the Commonwealth title from 2007 to 2009, and the European title from 2010 to 2011.
He was born and raised in Chipping Barnet,
London, England.
He has boxed with a variety of other athletes including Matthew Macklin and Sergio Martinez .
