ABOUT DAVID BUSST

Retired English soccer player who played for clubs like Coventry City. He is perhaps most famous for the horrific leg injury he sustained against Manchester United in 1996, which is considered one of the worst in the history of sports and nearly resulted in his leg being amputated.

He was born in Birmingham and began his senior career with Moor Green in 1991.

He retired following his injury and became a manager for clubs like Evesham United. He eventually became the director of Coventry City's Football in the Community program.

He married a woman named Susan and has a daughter named Leah.

Manchester United goalie Peter Schmeichel was so disturbed upon seeing Busst's injury that he sought counselling afterwards.
