ABOUT DAVID LE'AUPEPE
Singer, musician, instrumentalist, performer, entertainer, artist, and guitarist who is best known for being the front man of the musical group Gang of Youths . The group's 2015 single "Magnolia" is about his many mental health struggles.
He and his bandmates were friends from childhood. As a teenager, he developed a substance abuse problem.
In the year 2018, he shared an open letter on Instagram on the anniversary of his surviving a suicide attempt. In the year 2018, he released a duet called "Drover" with Dan Sultan. He was a songwriter on the band's albums including 2015's The Positions and 2017's Go Farther in Lightness.
He was raised by his parents in inner-west Sydney. He has Jewish Samoan heritage. He has lived in England with his second wife Cort Bray.
He has collaborated with Thelma Plum and Gretta Ray.
