Popular writer who is best recognized for his work on the Star Trek novels.

He graduated from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU.

He used to work at Pocket Books, where one of his duties included writing rejection letters to other writers who pitched their work.

He married his wife Kara.

Along with actress Bryce Dallas Howard , he attended Tisch School of the Arts in New York City.
