Actor who was the son of Ozzie and Harriet Nelson . He played himself on his parents' long-running show. He appeared in more than 430 episodes of television throughout his acting career.
He became a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity while in college.
He had a breakout performance in the thriller The Big Circus. In 1990, he played Wanda's Father in the movie Cry-Baby.
He married his first wife, June Blair in 1961 and they divorced in 1975. That same year he married his second wife, Yvonne Huston.
He played a small role in the 1990 Johnny Depp film Cry-Baby.
