ABOUT DAVID NICHOLLS
British novelist, screenwriter, writer, author, and producer who is best known for his work in Far from the Madding Crowd, Patrick Melrose , and Starter for 10.
He graduated from Barton Peveril College at Eastleigh, Hampshire. In the year 1988, he also received a BA in Drama and English from the University of Bristol . He later trained as an actor at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York.
His novel " One Day " became a Netflix series in the year 2024. In the year 2016, he received the award for honorary DLitt from the University of Bristol. During his days as an actor, he commented that he struggled as an actor. He has said, "I'd committed myself to a profession for which I lacked not just talent and charisma, but the most basic of skills. Moving, standing still - things like that."
He is the middle of three siblings. He is married to Hanna Nicholls. They have two children together.
In the year 2005, he wrote Aftersun for the Old Vic's 24-Hour Play festival that stared James Nesbitt , Saffron Burrows , Catherine Tate and Gael García Bernal .
