ABOUT DAVID RAY
American poet and author known for The Death of Sardanapalus and Other Poems of the Iraq Wars, published in 2004. His more than twenty other poetry collections include When (published in 2007) and Music of Time (published in 2006).
He attended the University of Chicago and later taught at Cornell, the Iowa Writers' Workshop, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
He was a founding editor of New Letters Magazine.
He settled in Tucson, Arizona with his wife Judy Ray.
He was inspired by the work of Ernest Hemingway .
