English actress known for her roles in television including the British soap opera Hollyoaks . She played Jude Cunningham on the aforementioned show from 1996 until 2016. In 2000, she appeared in one episode of the TV series Dark Realm.

She attended Winstanley Sixth Form College and worked as a model before becoming an actress.

Her father, Alan Murphy, was in charge of the AM toilet paper roll factory in the town of Skelmersdale. She appeared as a guest on the talk show This Morning in 2016.

She was married to David Gardner from 2003 to 2010, and they had two children.

David Beckham was the best man at her 2003 wedding.
