ABOUT DEBORAH JOY WINANS
Stage and screen actress most well known for bringing to life Charity Greenleaf-Satterlee on the OWN network series Greenleaf. She has also been seen playing her aunt, CeCe Winans , in the Lifetime biopic Whitney.
After earning her BFA from Wayne State University, she would later complete a MFA in acting at the California Institute of the Arts.
She made her stage debut in the musical Born for This: The BeBe Winans Story.
A member of the illustrious gospel music family the Winans, her parents are Carvin and Deborah Kerr Winans. She has three siblings, Juan, Ian, and Carvin Jr.
In Greenleaf, she stars opposite Merle Dandridge , Desiree Ross , and Lamman Rucker .
