ABOUT DEREK MCINNES

Soccer player-turned-manager who has been with Aberdeen since 2013. He previously managed Bristol City and St. Johnstone. He played 21 professional seasons for teams like Greenlock Morton and Dundee United.

He was born in Paisley, Scotland and began his professional career with Greenock Morton in 1988.

He was named 2014 PFA Scotland Manager of the Year while with Aberdeen.

He has sons named Jack, Harry and Charlie.

He and then-Celtic FC manager Gordon Strachan were both named PFA Scotland Manager of the Year.
