Best known as the mother of Talia Joy , who died of neuroblastoma when she was 13 years old. She is the founder of Talia's Legacy Children's Cancer Foundation, which aims to support research and children who battle the disease. They provide makeup lessons to children to help them feel more beautiful. The makeup is sponsored by Cover Girl, as Talia was once selected by the corporation to be one of their signature Cover Girl models.

She attended Valencia College.

She works in the skincare and makeup industry.  She earned her Medical Aesthetic license in 1995. Her momma_joy Instagram account features career promotions, family milestone celebrations, and memorial posts for Talia. She has amassed 100,000 followers.

She has another daughter named Mattia Joyce, who also works on behalf of the foundation. She is also the grandmother to Leo, Mattia's son.

Christie Brinkley , like Talia Joy, was also a Cover Girl model.
