ABOUT DIEGO ÁLVAREZ
Professional soccer player and athlete known for playing the forward position for Deportivo Pereira and Patriotas Boyacá. He also spent two seasons with the Patriotas organization. He has played on over 10 teams throughout his senior career.
He began his professional career with Independiente Medellín in 2000.
He played for San Luis F.C. of Mexico between 2008 and 2009. He moved to Atlético Nacional in January 2012 and to Atlético Junior in January 2013.
He was born in Medellin, Colombia.
Both he and fellow soccer player James Rodríguez was born in Colombia.
