ABOUT DIEGO CHARA
Colombian midfielder who began his career in the MLS with the Portland Timbers in 2011 after spending a year with Deportes Tolima.
He began his professional career with Colombia's Deportes Quindio in 2004.
He was a member of the Colombian national team from 2010 to 2011.
His older brother, Felipe Chara, and his younger brother, Jimmy "Yimmy" Chara, became professional soccer players as well. He has two daughters and a pair of male twins.
He and Carlos Valderrama both represented Colombia in international play.
