ABOUT DIEGO MOREIRA

Soccer star and athlete who became famous as a winger for Premier League club Chelsea FC . He joined Chelsea in the year 2023 on a free transfer from Benfica's youth team. In September of 2023, he joined Lyon on a season-long loan, but was recalled by Chelsea in January of 2024.

He played youth soccer for Standard Liège. He also played with the Belgium under-15 team.

In August of 2024, it was reported he was set to move to Ligue 1 club Racing Club de Strasbourg. Under interim manager Nélson Veríssimo, Moreira was promoted to Benfica's first team alongside seven other Benfica youth team players, making his debut on May 13, 2022, in a 2-0 away win to Paços de Ferreira in the Primeira Liga.

His father, Almami Moreira, is a former soccer player. His grandfather, Helmut Graf, was also a soccer player in the 1970s and 1980s.

He has been compared to Portuguese soccer star Nani .
