ABOUT DIEGO VERDAGUER
Mexican singer-songwriter whose best-known songs include "La Ladrona," "Yo Solamente Yo" and "Corazón de Papel." He is also known for playing the trumpet as well as the bandoneón. He released over 20 albums throughout his long career.
He was inspired to pursue music after hearing the Argentine folk band Los Chalchaleros.
In 2009, he returned after a decade-long absence from the music industry with the hit song "Voy a Conquistarte." His lifetime sales reached almost 50 million records.
He married singer Amanda Miguel in 1975. He has daughters named Ana and Maria.
His song "Voy a Conquistarte" was written by singer Joan Sebastian .
