American screenwriter and director who is best remembered for writing the scary Child's Play series. He has been credited as a writer on over 20 projects throughout his ongoing career, most of which are related to Child's Play. In 2021, he created the TV series Chucky .

He attended St. Christopher's School.

He was one of the first openly gay writers and directors in the horror film genre. In 2015, he wrote two episodes of the critically acclaimed TV show Hannibal .

As of 2013, he has failed to disclose his romantic relationships to the public.

He wrote The Bride of Chucky, which starred actress Jennifer Tilly .
