ABOUT DOON MACKICHAN
British actress and comedian who is perhaps best known for her acclaimed work on television series such as the sketch comedy show Smack the Pony and the comedy series Plebs. She has also achieved fame in the world of film, beginning with her portrayal of Victoria Lender in the 1997 fantasy comedy The Borrowers . More recently, she did voice-acting work for the 2022 computer-animated adventure film The Sea Beast .
She studied drama at Manchester University .
In 1998, she swam the English Channel as part of a relay team. In 2014, she was nominated for a BAFTA Television Award for her performance in Plebs.
From 1997 to 2005, she was married to actor Anthony Barclay, with whom she had three children.
She worked alongside John Goodman and Hugh Laurie on the cast of The Borrowers.
