Award-winning gospel singer, songwriter, and music producer known by his 2021 studio EP "Songs From Spirit of Praise," which has been played over 1 million times on Spotify. He's also gained a lot of recognition from his 2020 gospel album "Calvary," which has been streamed over 1 million times. Thus far, he's accumulated over 145,983 monthly listeners on his self-titled Dumi Mkokstad Spotify profile.

He first began recording music as a teenager. Growing up, he lived with a family, which is full of musicians.

Due to the highly-acclaimed performance of his 2017 studio album "Egameni LikaJesu," he was named Best Male Artist at the 2018 Crown Gospel Awards. He also earned the "Best Gospel Album of Year" award during the 2019 SAMA Awards.

He was born and raised in the Durban, South Africa area. He now lives with his wife and daughter.
