Eduardo Kingman
ABOUT EDUARDO KINGMAN
Twentieth-century Ecuadorian artist of socially-themed lithographs, woodcuts, and paintings. He was the 1997 recipient of the prestigious Premio Eugenio Espejo.
He trained at the Escuela de Bellas Artes in Quito, Ecuador and later studied at the San Francisco Art Institute.
He served as director of Quito's Museo de Arte Colonial and also established a Quito art venue called the Caspicara Gallery.
He was born in the city of Loja, Ecuador, and he later moved to Quito.
He was a contemporary of fellow Ecuadorian artist Oswaldo Guayasamin .
