ABOUT ELERSON SMITH

Professional outside linebacker originally selected by the New York Giants as a 4th round pick in the 2021 NFL draft. Prior to being drafted, he played college football at the University of Northern Iowa . Following his 2020 season, he was named to the first team All-MVFC.

He was a four sport athlete while at Minneapolis South High School. In addition to football, he also played basketball, wrestled, and was a member of his school's track & field team.

He made his official NFL debut playing against the Las Vegas Raiders during week nine of the 2021 regular season. He and the Giants won the game 23-16.

Growing up, he lived with his family in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. He is one of three siblings.
