ABOUT ELKESON CARDOSO

Attacking midfielder and forward who has gained fame for his club career that has spanned the globe, including for the Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG F.C. He led the side to the 2018 Chinese Super League title.

He played in Vitoria's youth academy between 2001-2009. He made his professional debut with the club's senior squad in 2009.

He was named the Chinese Super League Golden Boot winner in both 2013 and 2014 while playing for Guangzhou Evergrande. He was also named the Chinese Football Association Footballer of the Year in 2014.
