ABOUT EMMA MCMASTER

Northern Irish footballer who plays for the Northern Ireland women's national team and for the Women's Premiership club Glentoran.

She started her soccer career playing in her family's back garden with her older sister Ali. Their parents had originally tried to get them into playing hockey.

McMaster is on the Northern Ireland squad that qualified for the UEFA Women's Euro championship tournament in England in 2022.

The two played together for three seasons at Newry City and then at Glentoran.

Two male players she's admired over the years are Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard .
