ABOUT ERIC HEITMANN

NFL center who started in all but five games during his 9-year playing career with the San Francisco 49ers.

He was a three-time All-Pac 10 selection while at Stanford University.

He was cut from the 49ers at the end of the 2011 season.

He was born to Mike, a veterinarian, and Carolyn, a registered nurse, in 1980, the third of what would be four sons.

During his last two seasons with the 49ers, he was teammates with wide receiver Michael Crabtree .
