She also appeared in series like Sex and the City , Law & Order , Law & Order: Special Victims Unit , and All American: Homecoming .

She attended Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas prior to becoming a famous actress and performer.

She voiced Cassandra in the video game Mafia 3. She played Juliette in the 2007 production I Have Before Me a Remarkable Document Given To Me by a Young Lady from Rwanda. She received the NAACP Theatre Award for Best Lead Female for the role.
