ABOUT ESSANG BASSEY

NFL cornerback that was first signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2020. After being waived by the Broncos, he was later claimed by the Los Angeles Chargers in December 2021. He was eventually signed by the Broncos in January 2022.

Prior to his professional career, he played college football at Wake Forest University . Following his junior season, he was named a member of the second team All-ACC. Coming out of high school, he received interest from programs like Tulane University . During his freshman year at Wake Forest, he played in every game.

He made his official NFL debut while playing against the Tennessee Titans during week one of the 2020 regular season. He recorded 23 tackles in twelve games played during his rookie season.

Growing up, he lived with his family in the Columbus, Georgia area.

He is a former Wake Forest collegiate athlete just like Chris Paul and John Collins .
