Her father once worked as foreign correspondent for Newsweek, so she was brought up in a variety of different countries.

In Poland, she was once the co-director of screenplay competition, Nowy Scenario.

She had one daughter -- Caye -- with her husband Taylor.

She once wrote for Law & Order: SVU, which has played host to a variety of guest stars, including actor Fred Thompson .
