Defender who was selected 16th overall in the 2009 MLS draft by the Seattle Sounders, but was waived before playing in a game for the team.

He played college soccer at Wake Forest, while also playing for the Cary RailHawks U23 team.

In 2007, while at Wake Forest, he won the NCAA National Championship, helping his team defeat Ohio State 2-1.

He was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, near where he went to college.

He was drafted by a Seattle team partially owned by Drew Carey .
