He comes from a family of 5. His father is a director of a homeless shelter in his local community, while his mom is a teacher at an elementary school. His older sister is a doctor and his younger brother is an entrepreneur.

He featured singer/actor Carlos PenaVega in a video titled "Principio Y Fin (Versión Acústica)" in March 2015.
