ABOUT FREDDIE GARRITY

Singer best known as the frontman for the popular 60's group Freddie and the Dreamers. The band made a big splash in their native U.K. before The Beatles' explosion in popularity.

He worked many odd jobs, including one as a milkman.

In 1974 he made a cameo appearance as himself on the sitcom "Dear John".

He married three different women and had four children.

He and The Dreamers earned the ire of Paul McCartney after the Beatles' frontman alleged that they copied The Beatles' version of "If You Gotta Make a Fool of Somebody."
