Actor, performer, entertainer, and artist who is best known for his role as Sammy Fabelman in Steven Spielberg 's semi-autobiographical film The Fabelmans , which also starred notable names such as Michelle Williams , Paul Dano , and David Lynch .

He became interested in acting when he was 8 years old and participated in summer camp reenactments of Footloose , Shrek The Musical , and Aladdin . He earned his first acting credit after his guest-starring role in the Canadian TV show, Motive .

He is the recipient of various awards including the Vanguard Award from the Palm Springs International Film Festival and Best Young Actor by the Critics' Choice Movie Awards in the year 2023, as well as the 2022 Breakthrough Performance by the National Board of Review.

He was born in Vancouver, Canada, and is the son of Megan LaBelle and producer and character actor Rob LaBelle .

His other acting credits include The Predator in which he starred alongside Boyd Holbrook , Olivia Munn , Jacob Tremblay , and Trevante Rhodes among other stars. He was also featured in an episode of Netflix's "Brand New Cherry Flavor" with actors such as Rosa Salazar , Jeff Ward , Eric Lange , and Manny Jacinto .
