ABOUT GARNETT SILK
Rastafarian 1990s reggae musician whose life was tragically cut short when he tried to rescue his mother from their burning home.
Beginning to perform in public at age twelve, he sang under the name Little Bimbo. By 1988, he released his first album.
After switching from DJing to singing in the late 1980s, he recorded hits like "Seven Spanish Angels" and a cover of "I Can See Clearly Now."
His son Garnet Smith, Jr. followed his steps into the music business.
Johnny Nash was the original singer of "I Can See Clearly Now," which Silk covered to great acclaim.
