In 2006, he graduated from the Drama Centre of London with a degree in acting. He made his professional acting debut while still a student in 2003, as Michael Lewis in Blue Murder.
In 2009, he starred in the BBC Mini-Series The Diary of Anne Frank as Peter van Daan. In 2015, he appeared in the film Narcopolis.
He was born and raised in Manchester, England.
He starred alongside Felicity Jones , who played Margot Frank, in The Diary of Anne Frank .
