She has a law degree from University of the Valley of Mexico and a diploma in meditation from the Institute of Mexico. She has a masters in conflict and violence from the University of Saint Joan de Deu, a masters in criminology and security from the University of Barcelona, and a doctorate in alternative methods of conflict resolution from Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon.
She is president of the Mexican Institute of Research, Training and Development.
