ABOUT GEYSE DA SILVA FERREIRA
Forward for the Brazil women's national team. She won the 2022 Copa América Femenina with Brazil. She has played with multiple clubs like Centro Olímpico, Corinthians, Madrid CFF, Benfica, and Primera División club Barcelona .
She is from Maragogi, Brazil. She started her professional career in 2016. She played futsal for two years in Pernambuco. She later played football for União Desportiva Alagoana (UDA), a team based in Maceió.
She tattooed her mother's face on her left arm. In 2021, she became the first South American in the Spanish women's league to achieve top scorers honors.
Her mother, Maria Cristina Gomes da Silva, worked as a daycare worker and street sweeper. Her siblings are José, Gisele, Alisson, Geovanne, and Aline.
She was coached by Pia Sundhage at the 2021 Summer Olympics representing Brazil.
