Italian left back who spent his entire career with Internazionale, winning four Serie A Championships and the 1978 Coppa Italia.
He grew up a standout track athlete, but his main ambition was always soccer.
He played at a time when most defenders stayed in the backfield. However, he ventured into opponent territory, becoming, in effect, the first attacking defender.
He grew up in Treviglio, Italy.
He and fellow defender Javier Zanetti both enjoyed long careers with Internazionale.
