She studied at Arizona State University where she and Jimmy first met. They married in 1988.

Her decade-and-a-half marriage to Jimmy Kimmel resulted in children named Katie and Kevin .

Following his 2002 divorce from Gina Kimmel, Jimmy Kimmel dated comedienne Sarah Silverman before marrying television writer Molly McNearney .
