Giorgi Gocholeishvili

ABOUT GIORGI GOCHOLEISHVILI

Professional soccer player who has played for the Ukrainian soccer club Shakhtar Donetsk. He signed with the Ukrainian side in November of 2022. He had previously played for Saburtalo Tbilisi. He has also represented the Georgia national team.

He began his youth career playing for the Saburtalo Tbilisi Academy. He was called up to the senior team in the year 2020.

In March of 2021, he made his debut for the Georgia national U21 soccer team in a 4-1 friendly win over Belarus. He made his senior debut for the national team in November of 2022. At the end of 2022, Gocholeishvili was named among best XI players of the Erovnuli Liga season.

He is in a relationship with his partner Ana Oqruashvili. In October of 2023, he announced that they were expecting a baby boy. They welcomed their son in March 2024.

He and fellow soccer player Khvicha Kvaratskhelia have both represented the Georgia national team.
