ABOUT GIVANI SMITH

Professional winger that was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings during the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to making it to the NHL, he played for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League.

As a teenager, he played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League as a member of the Barrie Colts, Guelph Storm and the Kitchener Rangers.

He made his professional NHL debut playing against the Buffalo Sabres on October 25, 2019.

His older brother Gemel is also a professional hockey player.

He played alongside Dylan Larkin as a member of the Red Wings in 2021.
