Japanese actor famous for his roles in 13 Assassins, The Knife and the Sword, Parasite Eve and Nagareboshi. He is a professional singer as well as an actor.

He made his acting debut in 1989.

He was a member of the Japanese boy band SMAP. The band formed in 1986 and broke up in 2016.

He was born in Tokyo, Japan.

He and Tsuyoshi Kusanagi were both members of SMAP.
