She earned a degree in Italian and Art History from Vassar College.

Her father is sculptor Don Gummer . Her mother is Academy Award winner Meryl Streep , and her older sister Mamie is also an actress. Her brother Henry Wolfe is a musician. Her younger sister Louisa is a model. She married music producer Mark Ronson in September 2021. In March 2023, she and Ronson welcomed a daughter. In December 2024, they announced they were expecting their second child together. They welcomed their daughter on February 21, 2025.
She appeared as a series regular on Mr. Robot alongside Rami Malek .
