ABOUT GRANDPA JONES
American country music singer and banjo player who is part of the Country Music Hall of Fame. His single "T for Texas" charted at #5.
He started singing when he was a teenager on a WJW radio show. In 1931, he joined the Pine Ridge String Band.
He acted on the popular television show, Hee Haw, in 1969.
He married musician Ramona Riggins in 1946 and they went on to perform together.
He acted alongside Roy Clark on Hee Haw.
