American actor who is best recognized for his recurring role as Bennett on the 2019 television series If Loving You Is Wrong . He is also recognized for dating fellow actress Nina Dobrev .

He grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is known for having graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. He originally majored in Real Estate with a minor in Political Science. He then trained as an actor in New York under the guidance of acting coach Susan Batson.

He is also a screenwriter and director and is credited with having done both on the short film Betise.

His mother Janice Gray is an entrepreneur and his father Grant Mellon Sr. is an American financial advisor.

He worked alongside Tyler Perry on the television series If Loving You Is Wrong .
